angel (tv series)
An old favourite. I was never into Buffy bout found something a bit different and very addictive about Angel. Watched it on DVDs first time around in 2003 and second time around last year in 2007. What’s not to like about a supernatural action comedy series?
april
My favourite month of the year. Not only my birthday but also perfect mix of warmth and the autumn rain.
autumn
My favourite season.
bones (tv series)
Another show I never miss and am actually watching as I write this. It shares a few actors with Angel, though that isn’t the main reason it draws me. I enjoy the geeky humour and can well relate to the main female role in the story.
cats
I adore them. I don’t have one of my own right now but the neighbours cat certainly makes himself at home and my son loves him. I do wish I had my own but at the moment it isn’t financially viable.
coding
One of my favourite past times and also the subject of my major at University. So far: C, C++, Java, Javascript, PHP, C# and Basic.
dark isles
My mud, my roleplay, my hobby.
design
You’ll see my attempts at dabbling in design in the promotional images for Dark Isles (like the ball) and also the website itself.
drawing
Something I’ve not done for a while, but hope to one day get back into. My best piece (in my opinion). I got into drawing when I went through chemotherapy in 1999-2000.
green
Both the colour and the lifestyle. I don’t think I really need to expand on this.
hamilton
Not only my city of birth of birth, but now where I live and go to University. I actually like the place. *gasp*
honesty
Important to me. What is the point on putting on a facade to get people to like you? They’re not liking you, they’re liking the illusion.
medieval history
Developed a strong interest after living six years across the road from a genuine Welsh castle, attending medieval festivals and researching for Dark Isles.
movies
But doesn’t almost everyone? Which ones though, too many to name. Though the usual fantasy ones stand out: Labyrinth, Princess Bride, Dark Crystal, etc. Also Moulin Rouge, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and a large amount of zombie movies (see mention further down).
muds
I’m old fashioned and like the good ol’ text based games. Except the type I like are the roleplaying ones, the ones where you tell a story… in an almost paragraph format. Where you develop an intricate character and work with others to create plots. Basically what is known as an RPI (roleplaying intensive).
New Zealand
Never knew how lucky I was to be born, and grow up in New Zealand till I left it. I’m glad to be home.
Outrageous Fortune
A great New Zealand ‘westie’ drama full of sex, drugs and rock-n-roll. Outrageous Fortune website.
rain
I love it, especially when I’m in bed at night and it is raining hard and the wind is blowing.
reading
I love my books but lately I do not get any time to read. Soon though hmm? I particularly enjoy Kelley Armstrong, Charlene Harris and Jacqueline Carey.
red
Currently my favourite colour.
student
I’m a third year student at the University of Waikato. I’m studying towards a BSc majoring in Computer Science and with a specialisation in Software Development. I have maintained an A+ grade since starting there in 2007.
tattoos
I love them, especially on guys and I have one, an ankh on my left hip that I got in 1998. I want more though and I’ve been wanting more for quite some time. Time. Finances and the like have kept me from getting my next one.
web design
Half hobby, half part time job. I designed and did the graphics for http://www.dark-isles.net.
werewolves
Or shape shifters. I love movies and books about them and they are the inspiration behind the Wolfkin race on Dark Isles.
winter
I love the storms that winter generates. I love snuggling beneath the covers with someone.
writing
I enjoy it, when I’m inspired. I don’t know that I’m good, but as long as I’m not trying to sell anything, it’s not really the point.
